You stretch, the sun glowing in your face while you rested in your comfortable nest made of soft and fluffy material. You look outside. the morning light shone down on the grass, making it shine a brighter green. the tiny dewdrops on the blades made it almost sparkle. As you were looking out, a group of fellow housecats were padding down the sidewalk, chattering like little birds. you could also hear your housefolk call out your name, shaking a bowl of the dry, tasty pellets of food. You rushed over, purring. The housefolk reacted to your rubbing of its leg by putting down the bowl, and patting your head. As you ate, you could still glance at the ever so loud group of cats. Once you had finished eating, you padded over to the catflap. you pushed your head and body through, and then continued to the kittypet group. they all were looking at you, and some whispered. "Hello," greeted one, "Who are you?" the same cat asked, eyes warm and inviting. "I...I'm..." you stammered, then got your words together. "I'm _____, and I have been watching you guys chat all the way over here. I just wanted to see what it was, that is all." you shuffled your paws a bit. More whispers, and a few mews. "Well, that's nice to hear. How would you like it if you joined our group? You can join any time you like." the cat that had greeted you stepped out of the crowd. A silver tabby with black stripes and thick fur stepped out. You could recognize it's eyes, which you now saw were a deep but bright shade of green. "I'm Faerie, and this is 'The Life', my group." now the blank faces were warm and welcoming. "Will you join us?"}

'Viva la Vida' means 'Living the Life', but members of the group call it 'The Life' for short. The Life is a group of housecats, who come out of their homes to socialize with other members of the group. They often have 'adventures', such as taking a quick hunt in the nearby forest, or hunting critters. It's very common for some housecats to be mated to each other in The Life, but then again, not all cats are destined to find love! The life is basically like a club. They have their own place they hold big meetings at, but for the most part they just walk through the neighborhood visiting homes. Sort of like a family, in a way.}
