hi i'm fox you probably know me from the forums already but here's some stuff i don't talk about often on wcf because Restrictions. get ready for some Social Justice Bullshit
im gray-biromantic and asexual. i have severe adhd, severe anxiety and moderate to severe depression. i hit rock bottom 3 times a week and i'm constantly flip flopping between psychiatric medications (xanax, klonopin, zoloft, buspar, strattera, guanfacine, vistaril etc.) which can be interesting. im diagnosed for adhd and social anxiety disorder but the depression is unspecified (probably unipolar though) and my mental health team suspects i have generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and agrophobia. i'm on medication for all those things. i also may or may not have avoidant personality disorder. it's highly likely but it's also difficult to diagnose at my age apparently. so.. anxiety is my middle name basically. it feels weird just being like "here, strangers on the internet: read about my mental health!" but it also feels right at the same time because i feel like this information contextualizes some of my behavior on the forums and elsewhere, making it easier to understand why i say/do some of the things i say/do
i just wanted to get that part off my chest first because that's the stuff i can't talk about on wcf. now let's get to the fun stuff
i love love love animals. they are the absolute best. my whole life revolves around animal care. my dream is to become a veterinarian but it has been hard because of the aforementioned severe adhd and anxiety. i had to drop out of school for a while because of my health issues but eventually i re-enrolled in an online school so that i wouldn't have to be around people (my generalized social anxiety is the most severe thing i have) and so that i could do school work at my own pace. that kind of sucks because i have to pay tuition (approx 250 a month) whereas before i was in public school. but i'm able to work a lot more often since i'm home schooled now so it balances out. right now i'm in between jobs so my main income currently = babysitting (eeck) but i usually do like, nothing fancy.. just minimum wage part time jobs on the side like catering and coat checking and stuff like that. mostly seasonal work. i also volunteer at a zoo which is like, the literal best. i love it. working with animals keeps me alive and makes me inexplicably happy
i have a lot of pets because i love animals. don't worry; they are all well cared for. my personal pets = a lovebird, an axolotl and three hermit crabs. i say "personal pets" because those are the pets who belong specifically to me. no one else in my house touches them or pays for their food, toys, decor, vet visits or whatever. i bought them and their enclosures + supplies myself and i will never ever regret it. my lovebird is named harlequin, he is adorable. he's currently sleeping in my hoodie. my axolotl is named zora and she is also adorable. my hermit crabs are named dwebble, hermes and charlie. they are great. then i have a few family pets: three cats, a dog and a rabbit. i say "family pets" because everyone in the house contributes to their maintenance, myself included. we all contribute evenly and make sure they're taken care of and stuff. the cats (peanut patrick and zoey) and dog (bella) are at my mom's house where i currently live. the rabbit (roger) is at my dad's apartment. i got the rabbit from the zoo because he was being retired and needed a home. my supervisor asked if i could adopt him because she knows i have a lot of experience with rabbits and i said yes. so now my little zoo retiree lives with my dad who totally adores him. i visit him when i can to make sure everything's okay and my dad isn't doing anything ridiculous.
i also really love video games and the color green. fav games = zero escape, ace attorney, pokemon, danganronpa, the walking dead game, the legend of zelda, the last of us, the wolf among us, portal, etc. if you like any of those things we are friends
i don't think anyone will actually read this but a message to those who did: Thanks Bro! and if literally no one reads this that's still okay because it was really fun to write
