Synopsis:

DanganRonpa, or its full name Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair (ダンガンロンパ 希望の学園と絶望の高校生), is a Japanese murder mystery visual novel developed by Spike exclusively for Japan. The game is available on PSP, iOS and Android OS devices. The game has a sequel called Super Dangan Ronpa 2: Farewell Despair Academy (スーパーダンガンロンパ2さよなら絶望学園) and a light novel called Dangan Ronpa Zero. An anime adaptation [started] airing in Japan since July 4th 2013. . . . the story takes place at Hope's Peak Academy, an illustrious private school that only accepts "super" students: the best of the best of the best. The criteria extends to any niche, so in addition to super[ high school level]-geniuses and super[ high school level]-athletes, they take super[ high school level]-idols, gang leaders, and geeks. . . . . . . [the students of the school eventually get] abducted by a [mastermind and their animatronic mascot] named Monobear, who refuses to let them leave. The only way out of the locked-down dark school is to graduate by killing another student. Once a murder is committed, Monobear holds a trial so that the class can try to figure out which one of them is the culprit, culminating in a vote. If they make the right choice, the murderer will be messily executed. Make the wrong choice, and not only does the murderer escape, but the rest of them will take the punishment in their place. this rp could revolve around the "copycat murders" souda mentioned in sdr2. he said that he read up about the worst, most despair inducing event in the history / the school of mutual killing, and apparently after junko died there was a series of copycat murders where fans of junko hosted a series of mutual killing scenarios. so what if we base this off of that and make it so that one of our characters is the mastermind is a fan of junko and is attempting to replicate the lifestyle of mutual killing by kidnapping all of our other characters in order to pay tribute to junko / to spread despair / whatever motive you choose

ok but also i think that certain things should be a Secret to us. like it would be boring if all of us as rpers knew who did what, like who killed who i guess....... it would lead to boring trials. so what if whenever a murder takes place instead of making it happen in the main thread where everyone can see, we make it happen through private messaging??? this way only the two users involved (murderer/victim) will know who the culprit is. idk just an idea

so for example lets say one of my characters wants to kill one of graywave's characters. so i pm gw with something like "(insert the actions of my character) (the actions would have murderous intent ofc)" and then we rp through pms until one of them dies or they settle the dispute through other means??? sorry if this doesn't make sense im rly tired lmao

i mean there's only 3 people in the rp atm so only 1 person would be in the dark about what happened but it does work better than everybody knowing

how are we going to decide who kills who?

hMMmMmMmmMM i'm not sure..... i guess we could just decide it on our own. like just think about our characters and decide which character would be most likely to kill. when it comes to WHICH character they kill i guess it'll be based on motive or convenience. but if the rper of the targeted victim really doesn't want their character to die for whatever reason then they could make it so the two characters settle the dispute, or even make it so that the targeted victim ends up killing the person who targeted them (like leon and maizono)

like ok using the previous example again let's say one of my characters talks to one of graywave's characters a lot, and at one point graywave's character ends up going to the kitchen alone at night and my character sees. her character being alone in the kitchen is convient, because no one will see the crime. the fact that the two characters have talked a lot also makes the crime convenient, because the victim probably trusts the culprit and might not see the attack coming. that's what i mean by being targeted by convenience; all of us should occasionally place our characters in situations where they're open for attack and see what happens. a murder doesn't always have to be calculated, though; it could be like mondo, where the culprit snaps and does something sporadically
